If you want the symbols showing (say) Classes and Variables to jump directly
to, then it's Preferences -> Interface -> Sidebar -> Show Sidebar -> Show
Symbol List in Geany's own preferences, and make sure you do View -> Show
Sidebar in the main editor window if need be.
