Copy the *.conf file for your color scheme from the system path to your
profile directory (above). I believe by default on Linux it's
/usr/share/geany/colorschemes. I'm using an installed theme I got from
https://www.gnome-look.org/browse?cat=135, which may or may not be
different when using a built-in / bundled theme. There's also some info
at https://github.com/geany/geany-themes. I'm on Windows so my pathing
and install method is dfferent.
Anyway, once you have the correct conf file in your colorschemes
directory, edit that file and change the color values. You can use the
color picker in Geany to insert the actual values (click Select). It may
take some experimentation to discover what ID controls what in the
editor. If I'm not sure, I'll use a bright, garish color combination
initially (bold yellow text on a bright lime green background, etc.)
just so I can easily see where it applies, then change it to what I
want.
There's some verbiage in the Geany help about doing this, IIRC.
