Hi Mike,

if I understand correctly, the difference is between typing `su` or `su -`?
For which reason would you not start a login shell and type `su` without
the `-`?

As far as I can see, starting a login shell using `su -` or even `sudo -i`
works fine for me on Fedora 43.
