We have seen this as well with a CPE we are working with.
I opened a PR to add this type but as its non-standard it wasn’t merged
(understandable):

As far as I’m aware the xsd:int type IS signed so that is what they should have
used, so its the vendors problem.
In the meantime the workaround implemented in my PR should work for you (it
does for us). Hope that helps.
