i am working on linux 2.4 .
The intention originally was to include a test tool and some automated
validation tests with the Ingres source. I believe this was never done,
however. Either the tests should be supplied or INSTALL should be changed.
This is a bug, really, in the documentation or in the packaging, and
should be addressed one way or the other.
please do inform me where to find the tst folder for ingres.and if any
one has pls send a zip file to me.i want to proceed with testing.
please give me an information about how to test ingres.
I'll point this request out to our product release folks. But I'm not
aware that we are actually distributing the tests in any format right now.
If you do a full install you will find some user databases are populated;
this represents at least a sanity check for the product. (Use accessdb as
the ingres user and look for databases owned by ingres rather than
$ingres.)
I suppose the acid test is actually using the database to store and
retrieve data of your choice.
note:there is a broken link inside src folder pointing to tst
folder.butcant find a folder with tst
This is confusing, yes, but is normal.
