You will need to set _POSIX2_VERSION=199209 in the shell before running
the ingres-LICENSE script.

Jean-Pierre,

        Hello,

I seem you try to install Ingres R3 ... if yes, try to install
Ingres2006 instead.

        See http://www.ingres.com/products/Prod_Comm_Download_Form.html

        Hope this help,
        Jean-Pierre

                Hi,

I am very new to Ingres and I have been trying to
install Ingres on my 64-bit AMD Fedora machine but have not been
sucessful so far.
After I accept the license agreement (Community Version)
it says

" tail: cannot open '+342' for reading: No such file or
directory"

"Failed md5 checksum, possibly corrupted during download
Aborting..."

I looked up the user forum and found one topic having
similar problem but it was more than a year ago and I wonder whether
this problem

                has already been fixed:

http://opensource.ingres.com/projects/ingres/forum/10/695948005447/view?
searchterm=md5%20checksum

Could anyone possibly let me know how to fix this? I
really am eager to get a hand on using Ingres.

                Thanks,

                Natthapol

P.S. I also could not register to the user forum,
something wrong with the website?
