I compiled it with 2.95.3 and I tested the hello_c and ring_c example and they seemed fine. So I guess it worked with 2.95.3, am I right??

I'm pretty sure we've tested with various versions of the 3 series. Unless you have a really good reason, you should probably prefer the newer compiler (IMHO).
