Raj, The main contrail dashboard gives overall health of the contrail components. But the script I wrote is supposed to monitor dynamically which service bind together. For example, my control node 1 uses the IF-MAP config node 1 as master and the IF-MAP config node 2 as backend. Or my vrouter 23 uses control node 2 as XMPP server but does not have any backup XMMP server (for any reason). That permits to operators/administrator to know how the services are distributed and if they want to restart/shutdown one of them, they could easily know what will be the impact.
All that information are available in different way: in the WebUI pages(config, control, vrouter), from analytics API or from services introspect page. But none of them aggregate them and it's what I tried to do with my script. That script gleans all services status from the introspect pages because I prefer to obtain the status from the service directly instead of get them from another service that can introduce latency (reactivity is important imo) and be erroneous.
