However, I'd like to ask you about why do you want to merge two pieces
of software like this? Why not have two separate packages, possibly
with dependencies?
Philip and I discussed exactly this point yesterday. For this special case
the main reason for merging binaries is to keep the package consistent to
it's older versions. I agree, that it shouldn't be the general way to
build packages.
