I saw packages such as sendmail (the same previous maintainer) being
reworked from scratch. I'm afraid the same thing has to be done for
rt. Would you like to try building it yourself? I can give you a hand
with getting started.
And you wouldn't have to deal with all the Perl modules, I'll update
what is needed.
