Ignoring the rest of your friendly mail I choose to answer only this part since I'm the maintainer of ClamAV. 0.98.6 was released on the 27th, a little more than a week ago. On the 30th I had packages uploaded to our experimental repo for all of you to test, I've had zero feedback so far. http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/experimental.html#bonivart You're welcome to give them a spin and tell me if they work alright, then I can release them to the next repo - unstable.
