I'm trying to install python2.7 on solaris 10 u7 SPARC, but failing miserably. ld.so.1: python2.7: fatal: libc.so.1: version `SUNW_1.22.5' not found (required by file /opt/csw/bin/python2.7) ld.so.1: python2.7: fatal: libc.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory This system's C library was upgraded from SUNW_1.22.4 to 1.23, skipping the intermediate versions. I understand that the *minimum* libc version supported is SUNW_1.22.2. Then why is version 1.23 not recognised during installation? Is there a solution or a workaround? Best Regards, NJ.
