主题: Re: [one-users] question about OpenNebula + NFS performance

nfsstat from client and nfs server will help:

1. nfsstat -n -c for client
2. nfsstat -n -s for server

Just for test, do not test it on VM machine , simple copy some file over NFS
( some big file not /dev/null some 5 GB) with time command before test

Hi

I set up virtual machine with OpenNebula2.2 + NFS(NAS Huawei Symantec).
And the virtualization environment is rhel6.1 + kvm. But the vm is running
very slow. In the vm system, gunzip a gz file takes very long time.

the nfs server(NAS) is suse10 with nfs version 3.

   the nfs client is rhel6.1

mount -t nfs -o timeo=10,noatime,intr,hard,retrans=5 172.16.14.115:/vx/B1ALL
/one_images

I tried to install two img systems at the same time on the nfs, the %CPU is
high. and the installation progress takes very long too.

So I wonder if the nfs can provide better performance for the vm ?

How can I tune the nfs server and client parameters to enhance nfs
performance ? Thank you very much.
