Hello,

the behaviours you describe aren't normal. The image is written to the disk and then copied to opennebula image datastore repository. It should not take so much RAM.

can you post the output of "gem list" too see the versions of your rubygems and let us know which browser and version you are using?

Sunstone.log may also be useful if some info appears in there regarding the lack of PATH.

Thanks,

Hi,

The issue is partially diagnosed.
I have fixed this issue with setting up the stack limits.
Change the stack limits from limits.conf and restarted the sunstone server.

But I am still confused why the memory requirement is there for the image upload. Why it doesnot push the data on to the disk.

This will always limit its usage model of max image upload dependent of memory of the head node.

I tried to upload small images but it give error like.

Error Allocating a new Image. No PATH in template

I checked the code it is madatory to give PATH for non datablock storage. But my image is not a datablock.

When I tried to upload as datablock. following error is thrown

A DATABLOCK type IMAGE has to declare a path, or BOTH size and FSTYPE

Please check the implementation. I think this is not very well integrated with opennebula.

Vaibhav

Hi users/developers,

I am using new sunstone interface version 3.4 for image uploading to cloud.

This is giving error. as NoMemoryError.

What could be the reason for this. my cloud manager ( head node) is having only 1GB memory.
Is this because of less RAM?
But why it is trying to use so much RAM. It is suppose to dump the image file to disk.
