Hi there Gandalf, If a Host fails, the VM memory state is lost and OpenNebula can't migrate it. But the failure will be detected and the VM can be redeployed in another Host, see [1]
Using the 'onevm resched' command, VMs can be re-scheduled and migrated to another host. For more information see [2][3] Regards [1] http://opennebula.org/documentation:rel3.6:ftguide [2] http://opennebula.org/documentation:rel3.6:vm_guide_2#life-cycle_operations_for_administrators [3] http://opennebula.org/documentation:rel3.6:schg#re-scheduling_virtual_machines -- Carlos Martín, MSc Project Engineer OpenNebula - The Open-source Solution for Data Center Virtualization www.OpenNebula.org | [email protected] | @OpenNebula<http://twitter.com/opennebula><[email protected]> On Mon, Oct 1, 2012 at 5:28 PM, Gandalf Corvotempesta < [email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > let's assume a shared storage like MooseFS. > Is opennebula able to automatically migrate running VMs to a new host > in case of node failure? > Is also able to migrate heavy VMs to a less busy host automatically? > > Thank you. > _______________________________________________ > Users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.opennebula.org/listinfo.cgi/users-opennebula.org >
