Thanks in the mean time I have found the upgrade documentation and have upgraded the database.
Yes I must say this has surprised me with the upgrade from the repository, I was not expecting that. Luckily this is a non-productive system... also my fault, I should have checked the complete list of packages displayed by apt-get.
