To be a little bit more precice: If you choose 'reply' in your mail client, then the mail only goes to the list. If you choose 'reply all', then the mail goes to the list and to the OP. This is just the way the openser.org lists are configured. Sure, there are different ways, but both have their pros and cons so i don't see much value in arguing about this.
