Hello, If I understand correctly, OpenShift Routes and Kubernetes Ingress serve more or less the same purpose. I guess that RedHat designed Routes because Ingress didn't exist. But now that there is a native Layer-7 Reverse Proxy in Kubernetes I'd like to know if there is some plan to deprecate Routes in favor of Ingresses. I'm asking because we were about to write an OpenShift custom Router for some specific purpose, but if the plan is to move to Ingresses, maybe we'd better develop an Ingress controller instead.
