Openshift itself does not provide any mechanism of monitoring volume
health. I would suggest adding some sanity checks about volumes as part of
pod healthchecks and expose those, so as openshift can report it as metrics
or something like that.

We do have some features planned about volume health monitoring but it is
still in pipeline.
