All,

We are still having issue with our ec2 openshift nodes running in aws, when
they are stopped or rebooted. Something (cloud provider?) is causing certain
nodes to lose their labels.

We asked about this issue in March for 3.7. We’ve moved to 3.9 now and are
still having this issue. Even more so, in that sometimes we also lose our
region=primary label or region=masters.

Here’s a link to the archive question:
https://lists.openshift.redhat.com/openshift-archives/users/2018-March/msg00068.html

We’ve opened issue in github: https://github.com/openshift/origin/issues/19899

Has anyone else had this issue with stop/start/reboot of ec2 instances and the
nodes losing their labels, and/or scheduleable getting changed? Is there any
special config we need to set for AWS and Openshift to work properly? The only
config in our /etc/origin/master/cloudprovider/aws.conf file is our region.

Thanks,

Todd Walters
