I have noticed that since version 1.4.1 there is no more Debian package in
http://opensips.org/pub/opensips/latest/packages/
<http://opensips.org/pub/opensips/latest/packages/>

If I use Debian Etch, I guess I must compile : opensips-1.4.3-notls_src.tar.gz

or install the openser package ?

"apt-cache search openser" --return--> "openser - very fast and configurable
SIP proxy"

I want to check this because the packaged version is most probably taking care
of postinstall, etc.

Hi Julien,

Obiously it depends on your objectives of installilng OpenSIPS. I assume you
want to test drive OpenSIPS thus download tar file, untar it into your box, and
install just OpenSIPS to start with. Then slowly add functionality to it in
order to achieve your objectives.

I am going through a lots of issues currently only because I rushed things and
now troubleshooting problem is a nightmare for me :(

Good luck, and also a good place to start with is
