Bogdan, Yesterday I compiled the deb files again on our debian amd64 system (opensips-1.6.1-notls_src.tar.gz 29-Dec-2009 21:03). This was the last uploaded version with a small bug-fix).
This version compiled without problems and the deb files (opensips_1.6.1-0_amd64.deb and opensips-mysql-module_1.6.1-0_amd64.deb) were also installed without any problems. >From today we use 1.6.1 on our live platform and it works like a dream (so this isue can be closed).
