Thanks for the link - my question here is: do i have to configure anything
regarding the server to use end-to-end presence notification? or in other
words, will the clients be notified that a user goes online/offline if i
don´t use any of the presence modules?
You can have presence without a presence server (end to end). You just
have to take care that from your configuration file you forward the
Subscribe and Notify requests to the end client.
Of course, this way is not scalable.
