I think I have answered my own question; I discovered a XML subnode of
the bridge element called "lifetime", the only information I can find on
the XML is from a tutorial not from the module documentation. I had
assumed that this "lifetime" was a mechanism to terminate a call or
media session after a specific amount of time, but it would seem that
this does control the invite timeout, at least for the REFER scenario.
