I have started the opensips as root and the file .restart_persistency.cache was created under /

after I changed the ownership of the .restart_persistency.cache to opensips I was able to start daemon as opensips user.

Is this proper way of doing this or just a poor workaround?

I attempted to setup drouting restart_persistency but as soon as I add these 2 lines:

restart_persistency_size = 512

modparam("drouting", "enable_restart_persistency", yes)

opensips does not start.

The logs shows:

ERROR:core:rpm_init_mem: could not initialize restart persistent memory!
ERROR:drouting:dr_init: could not initilize restart persistency memory!
ERROR:core:init_mod: failed to initialize module drouting
ERROR:core:main: error while initializing modules
ERROR:core:init_rpm_mallocs: could not create the restart persistency memory file .restart_persistency.cache (13: Permission denied)

Thank you.
