Thanks seans for the reply,  I tried check_tcp,  the check show OK even when
policyd doesn't respond and have series of "server configuration error" in
maillog

Finally I have restart policyd to fix the issue L

I would think you could do something like

 

check_tcp -H $hostaddress -p 10031 

 k

That would at least tell you if its responding.  Depending on your security
you might need to run it on the server via nrpe, as opposed to a remote
check from the Nagios box.

Does anyone knows about Nagios check for policyd.
I was using check_proc but the issue was policyd was running but it wasn't
