Hi all,

I'm seeking information on resolving this issue. I have already spent a fair amount of time on Google but so far have not found a solution that works. I have tried a couple of different patches like this one:
http://gitlab.devlabs.linuxassist.net/policyd/policyd/commit/4e8bbaabd5ee386be0aee7436a22632b75ef0004
but they seem to be for a different version of Policyd and are incompatible with v2.0.14.

I'm using Policyd 2.0.14 with Postfix on Linux.

The backend is MySQL and I have activated Quotas.

IPV4 works. Both IPV4 and IPV6 work without Policyd2. When using Policyd2 I get the following error when the servers are using IPV6:

/var/log/policyd2.log:

[CBPOLICYD] ERROR: Protocol data validation error, required parameter
'client_address' was not found or invalid format

By this, I'm guessing that the system is having problems interpreting/processing IPV6 addresses.

Apparently others have reported this issue in the past so I'd be interested to know if there has been a resolution yet.

Michael
