I did a git clone on a clean install and its working fine for me. Try
run strace and see if you can see any errors. It must be something
with your Cache::FastMmap, maybe check the cache.pm file and make sure
that it can indeed create the file in the path it needs.

I have found that if i delete all the default examples provided, the
errors go away.
