most probably, you forgot to compile cp.x, or else the executable is misplaced, or it does not have execute permissions ... try "ls -l /usr/local/espresso-4.0.5/bin" and verify that cp.x is there, with execute permissions (a number of "x" should appear on the left of the filename)
