The Department of Computer Science at Wake Forest University is searching for a qualified person for a postdoc position in scientific computation. Practical knowledge of compiler design and construction is desirable. The successful candidate will actively collaborate with researchers at Targacept Inc. (Winston-Salem, NC), Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) and Princeton University in the development of novel optimization strategies for Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics algorithms. A PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics or related field is required. The position, funded through a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, is for at least one year. The starting date is negotiable but cannot be later than May of 2007.
