Ciao to everybody,
A warning for those compiling with xlf under Mac OSX 10.4 ("Tiger"). You will
most likely get the following linkage error:
ld: Undefined symbols:
_sprintf$LDBLStub
_fprintf$LDBLStub
_printf$LDBLStub
This is becoming a known problem in the Apple Developers' community, it seems
to happen because these functions in Tiger are actually macros which translate
into symbols in the System stub library which is not included on the link line.
In the case of a F90 compilation (I am using the IBM xlf compiler) the way
around this problem is to link explicitly also the library
/usr/lib/libSystemstubs.a by adding
-lSystemStubs
to the LDFLAGS in make.sys.
