Dear PW Developers, The Theory Facility of the Molecular Foundry, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is actively seeking to recruit a postdoc with expertise in electronic structure method development. In particular, we encourage applications from those with experience in developing code for high-performance computing applications and first-principles modeling of electronic excited states. This particular position will focus on simulations of x-ray spectroscopy as part of a collaborative effort between the Molecular Foundry and the Advanced Light Source. Applications will be to materials of relevance to electrochemistry, electrical energy storage or batteries. The position is available immediately for qualified applicants within 5 years of their PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science or a related discipline. Those interested are encouraged to contact David Prendergast at the Molecular Foundry directly: dgprendergast at lbl.gov Applicants without significant method development/coding experience are discouraged from applying.
