A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Laboratory of Multiscale Modeling at the Nanoscale <http://www.te.ncsu.edu/mpasquinelli/> (http://www.te.ncsu.edu/mpasquinelli) at NC State <http://www.ncsu.edu/> University in Raleigh, NC. The project involves performing *ab-initio molecular dynamics* simulations and *DFT* calculations of the thermal and photo degradation of polymer materials and related model compounds. Specific job duties include the following: Perform theoretical and simulation research; participate in collaborations, including with industrial partners; mentor and teach other lab members; publish high quality papers and articles; and deliver presentations. A Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, polymer science, materials science, chemical engineering, or related field is required, as is a basic knowledge of organic chemistry. Some programming experience is preferred.
