Has anyone heard looked into the Android PC (APC) much? It's specs are
comparable to a Raspberry Pi, 800MHz VIA SoC, 512MB DDR3, 2GB NAND flash
on board, Micro SD card slot. It's supposed to ship preloaded with
Android 2.3, but I imagine it would be simple enough to load it with
another OS. It's also a "Neo-ITX" board size which is 170mmx85mm so
half the length of a standard Mini-ITX board and therefore useable in
existing cases, it has VGA and HDMI so might be more practical for some
people, but it only does 720p output, but I don;t think this is meant to
be a media set up like other solutions. They are supposed to open
pre-ordering soon and ship in July, so if anyone else is interested you
might want to start looking at it soon, I will be if my bank account and
free time permits it (already playing around with a Trim-Slice and will
have a Raspberry Pibefore the end of June).
