I am apparently having one of those days.. Apologies for the blank message. I seem to be stuck. I am running on an armv7l kernel obtained from the Solid-run forums. So far, my attempts to come up with an UV derived kernel have failed. Most of the work done by folks using that forum is Debian/Ubuntu based (as is the shipping kernel and drivers and firmware) and I have had no luck with it. I think it is time to start over. the arm5vtel kernel does not work on the Cubox, either through my use of mkimage or via the uImage that the most recent kernel update puts into place (same size in bytes). As soon as the uImage is read and the kernel begins to load, the unit resets. I have also been unable to compile a kernel, due to a mismatch between the headers and the running kernel (I have been unable to find the correct headers to match the kernel). SO, my questions are: Where should I obtain kernel source and what is the best method for compiling it? (I do have access to an x86_64 Scientific Linux box to cross compile an arm kernel, if need be)
It sucks to admit I am stymied. -- Thanks, Ian M Perkins
