There is now a new repository containing some extra packages. This is largely due to the epel repository port being incomplete. Until I have a chance to do some major tidying up, I created a new extras repository for packages that aren't a part of the core upstream EL6 distro.

The repo files are here:
http://ftp.redsleeve.org/pub/yum/rsel6.repo
http://ftp.redsleeve.org/pub/yum/epel6.repo
http://ftp.redsleeve.org/pub/yum/extra.repo

Replace whatever you have in /etc/yum.repos.d with those and you should have access to all the repositories, with primary location pointing at the fast mirror (as opposed to the slow primary site, which is commented out).

Since the extras repository is often in a state of flux while other package building is going on, if you are going to use it you may need to:

yum --skip-broken

The main addition in the extras repository at the moment is mplayer and it's dependencies (unless you ever tried building mplayer, you probably don't have a good idea of how far it's dependency rabbit hole goes).

ION, I have recently acquired a Samsung Chromebook, which in turn lead me to blow the dust off my Toshiba AC100, and do some polishing and image updating. I hope to post a wiki article over the weekend on how to get RedSleeve onto both of those, with all the required kernel and OS image components.

As a consequence of this, I will also be working on updating the xorg packages to a more recent upstream version, in order to get the accelerated Exynos drivers to build for the Chromebook.
