Personally I do understand the need to have the image as barebones as
possible, but coming from an admin standpoint already having rsyslog on a
system is very beneficial  and not always something that you would think
about install ( taking for granted that it is usually always there).
There several times that you will have an issue on first boot, after the
dmesg, having rsyslog setup on the install medium is something that is very
useful.
