I have everything installed other than php-mcrypt which is 'optional'

Now I am configuring Roundcubemail. It is different installing it
from the tarball over the rpm. Or maybe a newer version has a
different config file. So instead of following someone elses howto, I
am going through it from the start.

You do realize that roundcube comes with upgrade instructions
and an upgrade script you can run, right?

No. But this is a new install. What I have sitting under my desk is an Intel i386 boxen with Centos6 and the Roundcube they provide. Now I am doing RSEL6 which does not come with a Roundcube, so I am using the latest tarball (well I already reported one problem that has been fixed; minor for sure).

The Centos rpm uses a variable

$rcmail_config['temp_dir'] = '${_tmppath}';

that does not work in the version I am using. And I dug around on the C6 box and can't find where tmppath is defined... For now I am using /tmp/

I have roundcubemail running, but can't login. The install page test works, but not the webmail login. I have asked this on the roundcube list.
