one of the issues is that we have wildly different kernel versions for
different kernel versions for the different devices and some of them
might not have kernel-devel.

that being said, I'd prefer dkms. that saves us eternal rebuilding
whenever one or the other device has a new kernel version. dkms itself
is in EPEL-full. the module itself could then go to el7-redsleeve-extras
(or whatever comes out of the naming convention), unless we're certain
that it only is useful for one device, in which case it could go to
el7-<device>
