It could be that performance differences only manifest under certain
loads (e.g. video scaling). Or it could be that the performance
improvements are offset by the fact that we are on a soft-float
distribution that incurs and extra overhead when accessing the
hardware FPU.

Is there any info available on exactly what operations this driver is
supposed to speed up so that we can measure it?
