Well. It is what "the others do". At least RedHat, Fedora (well RedHat), CentOS 
(lol now also RedHat) are using for build process.
So it cannot be all that bad. And it is sort of main steam.

I have tried documenting as much as possible. Not perfect, but I assume someone 
can set up a koji system from the docs (more or less).

hmm I still think disk IO wait hurts a koji system a lot. Your build scripts 
might be more lightweight on your system :)
