why do you insist in PHP 5.2 years after upstream support stopped
and 5.4 had 16 patchlevels and now 5.5 is even available as GA?

you can be sure virtually nobody is testing his applications
really careful with heavy outdated PHP versions and even crap
like wordpress/joomla works since years with 5.3

*any* application thes edays not running with PHP 5.3 has to
be removed from public servers because it is dead code
