It appears that the spell check was the issue. Can code be added in the future that allows mail to go ahead on if the spell check db is unavailable for some reason? This specific user had turned on all 4 spell check options on the compose screen. Around 1400 PDT yesterday when the spell check DB came back to life, so did the outgoing mail. So, 2 things. Spell checker shouldn't totally block mail, and spell check failure should be logged someplace. Thanks for Roundcube! The "sending mail" spins until it times out at 90 seconds, then the message just sits there. None of the logs reflect anything, php error log doesn't add a line at all.
