You can tell them that their software (Audacious) is basically XMMS with a shiny GUI and lots of bonus bugs. After reading the developers' answer to your detailed bug report, I'd say that they also add an emotional dimension to the instability.
Conclusion: use XMMS, and you're better off. (Plus, the XMMS developers are nice people :oD)
