Why do you think this particular package has to do something with your
problem?

Hi Yury,

This is from a posting I made on the XFce mailing list:

          Hi All,
Anyone figure out how to get Firefox to use Thunar
          as its file manager?

Not sure which distro you're using, but on Xubuntu <8.10
you could solve this by installing firefox-gnome-support.

To make the long story short, I would try to look for

$ grep directory /etc/gnome/defaults.list
inode/directory=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop
x-directory/normal=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop

And change them to

Thunar-folder-handler.desktop

I have no /etc/gnome directory. A search for
defaults.list gives:
      # locate defaults.list
      /home/todd/.local/share/applications/defaults.list
      /root/.local/share/applications/defaults.list
      /usr/share/applications/defaults.list
