It is not missing but not supported. rpmforge does not ship i386 rpms in the x86_64 build. If you use protectbase or priorities plugin you won't see that updates anyway. And if you really want to upgrade base packages you have to live with it. So either install the yum plugins and stick with the base-version or remove the i386 versions of the packages to upgrade.
