Hi,

since a while there's a new version of rrdtool and perl-rrdtool in the CentOS
5 repository. Both in version 1.3.7-1.el5.rf

Unfortunately ntop depends on file librrd_th.so.2 which only exists in rrdtool
up to version 1.2.30-1.el5.rf. It's necessary to exclude version 1.3.7-1 to
install ntop.

Oh, and rrdtool-1.3.7-1 depemds on perl-rrdtool in the same version.

If no other package depends on rrdtool-1.3.7-1 I suggest removing of the
package from the repository.

Best regards,

Sandro Steger

Uhm that is unlucky. I tried to update the ntop package but I get an
errror in configure. I will try to recompile the version rpmforge now to
run with the new rrd.

Damn even simply rebuilding failed for me i get missing files in my
build environmen. Dag can you try to rebuild ntop with rrdtool 1.3?

I just did. I found a problem with my buildroot's which caused rrdtool and perl-rrdtool to be retained (since they wanted to installed ruby packages). I fixed my buildroots and rebuild both ntop and collectd.

We may have some others with the same problem.

If you can send me the repoclosure output we can fix the remaining stuff too.
