as far as I know the "connecting to tracker" problem occurs on rtorrent
versions newer than 0.8.2 and libtorrent 0.12.2 on CentOS 5 and some
other distros. And yes: libcurl is the cause.
I build rtorrent 0.8.2 and libtorrent 0.12.2, dynamically. That works
pretty well. I would stick with that version.
