Hi Geert,
I don’t think firewall is involved here, I also tried at home with an Ubuntu
machine connected directly
to internet (no fw enabled) and I get the same error message, tell me if I need
to post some other
information if needed. The Forticlient ssl vpn connection works but I can’t use
it on a server,
I need to make ipsec work somehow, I just don’t understand why it doesn’t even
talk to the peer.

Hi Davide,
Looks like the connection doesn't get setup from the beginning...
Did you try disabeling the firewalls completely?

Hi, anyone here willing to help?
I tried installing strongswan on a debian machine I have, replicated same setup
but still no connection,
I get the same error "03[NET] error writing to socket: Invalid argument", any
clue?

Thank you
