Hmm... interesting

Albeit that Rémy's use-case is about non-JVM language compilation, how easy is 
it now, in 2009, to write a general non-Java language compiler plug-in?
For example, can one take the Java compiler plug-in and then subclass it and 
create a JavaFX compiler plug-in in 24 hours?
